
Dave Irvin
Chef Dave Irvin is a New Brunswick local with more than 25 years of international and domestic kitchen experience. After studying at NBCC-St. Andrews, Chef Dave started his apprenticeship in England in 1995 and achieved his Red Seal immediately upon his return from a year long working trip to Australia in 1999. For 6 years Dave worked in hotels and for catering companies here in New Brunswick and had the honour of working as the personal chef for the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick. In 2005 Chef Dave assumed the role of culinary arts instructor at NBCC St. Andrews and with that he found himself teaching in the U.S and Mexico. As a long-standing Technical Committee Member for Skills Canada, Dave has traveled around the country seeking out Canada’s finest dining experiences and bringing new ideas home. He has a great passion for local products, especially those products found on the Bay of Fundy. When not in the kitchen, you can find Dave foraging for mushrooms, Lobster fishing, making artisanal breads at home or tending his smoke house.
