
Nick Taggart
Nick has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in education, both from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Nick worked for many years in the software development industry before joining New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) as an instructor in 2013. Nick has a keen interest in digital technology and how it can be used to engage citizens. His professional background includes online learning, telecommunications, and public sector process re-engineering.
Nick now lives outside Fredericton with his wife and two teenage children, one of whom has Down syndrome and autism. In his spare time, Nick volunteers on many different boards and committees and coaches Special Olympics basketball and baseball for athletes with intellectual disabilities. In addition, Nick bikes, hikes, and plays hockey whenever he can.
