Dos and Don’ts

Do’s and don’ts for traveling between Europe and Canada are important to ensure you safety and health. Europe and Canada have different public health regulations, travel requirements, and cultural practices that must be followed to protect you and the people you come into contact with.

Do’s

    Make sure to bring your valid passport and any other necessary travel documents.

    Check the visa requirements and customs regulations for the country you are going to visit.

    Make a packing list and ensure you have all necessary documents including passport, visa or other travel paperwork.

    Make photocopies of all important documents, such as your passport, airline tickets, and insurance cards and save these ‘in the cloude’.

    Make arrangements for an international phone plan or buy a SIM card for your cell phone.

Don’ts

    Don’t bring any illegal substances or items into Canada or Europe.

    Don’t leave your luggage unattended or accept packages from strangers.

    Don’t forget to contact your bank and credit card company about your travel plans and make sure your bank and/or credit card works also in Europe or Canada

    Don’t forget to purchase travel insurance to protect yourself in case of an emergency.
